A Little Post Happy

It is another Saturday evening and I am stalking the internet, perpetually waiting on an email to come through. This is why there have been 3 posts today. In the middle of rechecking my email a million times, I research through other photographers' blogs. Well... I seem to have stumbled across a comic that has struck a little too close to life and I thought is was pretty funny and here it is.

In Wedding Plans

We have officially set the date. Now we can get the giant, stressful, exciting ball rolling. These are two of the dresses I have been ogling. Now only if they look this good on me when I try them on.

So far, I like this one the best. (@ nordstroms)

but this one is a close second (@ dillards)

moving forward

I am officially in the process of purchasing my website. I don't know when it will be up and running by I can't wait. Clients are going to be able to view their images online, order prints, and can check my calender to see if I am available. It's exciting stuff. As soon as it is up and running I am ordering business cards and I think this may be the final design but I can't decide on color choices. I think I am probably going with the first one. It has two colors to work with that can *pop* away from a muted backround color and with the added pink, you can tell that I am probably a female.

Jealous in the Middle

Picasso once said "good artists copy, great artists steal". The point is to look at other artists' work and steal their strengths and learn from their weaknesses. Therefore, I am continually stalking other photographers blogs and websites to see what their ideas are. Often many poses for portraits and weddings are quite similar but it is always neat to see a fresh twist of how different photographers pull it off. The point of all this is that I am jealous! Often, some of my favorite people to stalk are living in very scenic locations. Alaskans have fresh, clear water, people on the coast have the ocean and the sand, photographers in the mountains have a beautiful backdrop, and city folk have these awesome skyscrapers and cool alleys and arty areas. Fort Wayne... you have to work a little bit harder. I'm jealous but I must say that I think Fort Wayne is the place for small businesses to prosper and it is a little less competitive atmosphere. I didn't think I would end back up in Fort Wayne but now that I have been back, I think I have the best chance here to grow. Plus, in the upcoming years, it should be exciting to see the development of downtown.

Another Baby Shower

I think I am upon the age where either almost everyone around you is either getting married or starting families. This is great for me. I love photographing showers because it is pretty informal, everyone is happy and it is a great way to keep up on handling my camera.

This weekend it was Stefanie. Even though I don't personally know Stefanie, she seems like a truely genuine person with a lot to give. Plus she makes a pretty hot mom! She is even still wearing sexy boots.

I think "Goodnight Moon" is a staple in a child's library.

These picture are mainly for the hosts (and wanted to be host) of the party. The food was amazing. My favorite was the marinated cheese. Yum!

who would of thought someone could make something this cool out of cherries and pineapples.

another logo

Or what about these, ???

a new logo

I have been dabbling the last few days on a new logo and name since I will be getting married this summer. I think I like "fey photography" better than "olivia fey photography". Plus, it has been easier to design a logo around a shorter name. So far this is the best thing I could create. It is kind of based around a typewriter's keys, plus it still technically has my first initial in it. I am looking for feedback.
