a new ring?

It's true. I am getting a brand new ring but of the same thing. I guess the guy (Pete from Springer Jewelers) wasn't in town when Jason had picked up the ring. There were some minor problem: one of the settings was off and it was a half size too small) but the problems were enough that he is sending back and having them remake it. I have to applaud Pete Springer because he was extremely helpful and very knowledgable. He just didn't want us to order a ring. He gave us all the pros and cons to what we wanted and it came out wonderful. So... in about two weeks or so I will have a new ring and a new post with it even though you won't be able to tell the difference.

We're Engaged

I am giving up the ring for a little bit to get the ring sized appropriately so I wanted to post a picture while I still had it.

Tara's Baby Shower

In case you can't quite see what is floating in the ice cubes, it is raspberries and blueberries. It went great with the punch. Bobbi planned and executed this entire shower by herself with very little last minute help. The cake was provided by a friend's boyfriend and upon dropping off the cake and waiting for his "girl" to arrive, I put in place my great delegating skills. This is how the fruit tray gained a more professional appearance instead of me trying to strategically dump fruit around the dip. The whole shower turned out great.

Blizzard 2007

Lakeside Park (aka the rose garden). With the dusting of snow overnight, I decided to go stretch my legs today and head out to the parks. I was able to drag Jason out saying that is was a warm 30 degrees out and he agreed to chauffeur me around. My legs actually recieved a bit more of a work out than expected but not much. I didn't really expect "all" the sidewalks to be cleared but I did expect some. Well.... they aren't. I think I am still a little naive at times. I did manage to capture a few photos as evidence of the "Blizzard 2007" as I tromped through the snow.

New Isaac

Isaac is very photogenic and loves to show all his *funny* faces to the camera but I did manage to snap a few serious shots

Very Happy

I am very happy because I am doing 3 photoshoots this weekend. I should have some good posts.
These photos I did a while ago. They are scanned plants that I solarized in photoshop. They make great wall art.

Getting Warmer

It is snowing again since it is now above single digit tempatures (barely). Usually I hate winter and being cold but I am nothing but cheery since I have been planning the photoshoot of children in snow. It is suppose to happen on this coming Sunday and it is even suppose to snow on Saturday and be in the twenties on Sunday. It is almost too perfect.

Indiana Weather

So last weekend there wasn't enough snow and now it is too cold to be outside. Unfortunently, photography must wait until it bearable again.

To the people that have been anticipating a website under Yahoo, it is not happening. The formating was driving me insane and a very nice photographer in Arkansas let me in on a secret of BluDomain. It is a web hosting company that has premade templates that you can purchase and all you have to do is upload your images and choose where you want them. And the do your web hosting for a very reasonable price. I wish I wasn't left in the dark so long about this. So to all those blog readers, I hope to have a website in the near future and to all those photographers looking to build a website check out BluDomain.
